People Are The Prize: Next Level

We are excited for our People are the Prize Prayer Project, in which we are praying together for 100,000 souls to come to Christ in the next ten years in the Intermountain Northwest.  To date, over 10,000 people have been commissioned to pray for ten others to come to Christ.  We are confident that the Lord is hearing our prayers and that the harvest of souls is already underway.

If we are to reach the goal of 100,000, it means that all of our churches will double their impact over the next ten years.  Now we want to take our prayers to the Next Level by helping you equip and mobilize your people to reach their lost friends for Christ.

On June 2-3, we're inviting you to join us at ECC Surprise Valley in Boise with a few people from your church to walk through a process that is currently helping more than 250 churches multiply their impact for Christ!

We’ve invited Dave Elsaug, from Intentional Churches to guide you in developing your own strategy for mobilizing your church to experience greater Kingdom Impact.  This opportunity usually costs a church into the $1000’s, but we are offering it to you for free because we are serious about the fact that People are the Prize and seeing them come to Christ.

In addition to the presentation from Dave and Intentional Churches you are also invited to join us in praying during the weekend for two potential church plants in the Boise area.

Will you join us for a weekend of encouragement, coaching, training and prayer that has the potential of taking your church to the Next Level and double your impact for the Kingdom?

Are you ready to commit to the weekend? Register here.

What is “The Prize”?

Have you ever wondered what you're running for as a follower of Christ?

Paul says, in 1 Corinthians 9:24 that we should run the race in order to win the prize! Have you thought about what the prize is?

I have wondered about that, and I always thought the prize was heaven. Paul says that we're running for an imperishable crown. So, heaven must be what we're running for, right?

Well, I was curious about this question because of what Paul was willing to do for the prize.

He says anyone willing to win the prize must go into

  • "strict training" (vs 25)

  • "strike a blow" to their body (vs 27)

  • "make" their body "a slave" to earn it. (vs 27)

That made me wonder, do you have to do that for salvation?

Last I checked Ephesians 2:8-9 says this:

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

You don't have to do all those things to earn salvation!

So what is the prize??

Let's search the chapter for clues.

Paul says he is an apostle  - Sent to people (vs2)

The people are his seal - Approved by the people (vs2)

He is willing to lay down his rights for - the people (vv3-18)

so that he can win more people (vv19-23)

And the prize is, Heaven?

Even after looking at the context of the passage it was hard for me to accept this since it hasn't been what I grew up learning. Then I came across this passage in 1 Thessalonians 2:19:

“For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?”

What is our prize? If we look at the larger writing of Paul and the context, It isn't heaven.

People are the Prize!

Investing in the life of other people for the sake of the gospel is what gives me the motivation to live as a disciple, to beat my body and make it a slave. Sharing Jesus with others is like a fuel injector for our faith and it motivates us to do things we would not do if we were the only one benefiting from the labor. It's like a prize. Olympic level athletes have a certain amount of their motivation come from standing on the world stage. Our motivation as followers of Jesus comes from seeing people in heaven. They are our imperishable crown.

People are the Prize.

Invitation to The Prize Prayer Project

We want to invite you to a prayer movement in 2023 to see 100,000 individuals prayed for every day. We're calling it The Prize, Prayer Project. If we expect to see 100,000 souls won to Christ, we must first lift them up into God's throne room.

I'd like to invite you to a ZOOM Meeting in just over a week. It has to do with a vision God has formed among our churches to see 100,000 souls come to Christ in the next decade in the Intermountain West. To see a harvest like that, something new must happen inside of us, and inside of our people. Call it revival or renewal, either way, we must rise up with a new fire in our souls.

“When we are moved to pray, God will fill us with a fire and anguish for those in our lives who are far from Him."

We want to invite you to a prayer movement in 2023 to see 100,000 individuals prayed for every day. We're calling it The Prize, Prayer Project. If we expect to see 100,000 souls won to Christ, we must first lift them up into God's throne room.

In a day when the church is losing ground, we are hoping we can dig in our heels together, arm-in-arm, and wield the weapons Jesus has given us against the gates of hell.

Please join us and others in continuing to work together to expand the mission of God in the Intermountain West.

I am inviting you to a short, informative ZOOM meeting about ways we can partner, what resources we have for you, and how we can invite others into this movement.

Please choose one option below (all meetings will be similar in form).
